5 Football Stars Who Played Only One Match For Real Madrid

Real Madrid is one of the world's largest clubs and a footballer's dream. Few footballers get to play for Real Madrid.

Some players wear the Los Blancos jersey, but not often. La Fabrica graduates, loanees, and unsuccessful acquisitions often fail to make an impact and move on to other teams with few Real Madrid appearances.

This article looks at five Real Madrid players who made just one appearance.

1. Marcos Alonso

Marcos Alonso, born in Madrid, joined Real Madrid's youth academy. He played for all age-group teams before Castilla in 2008.

The left-back made his senior squad debut in April 2010 after being called up in December 2009.

He replaced Gonzalo Higuain against Racing Santander. His only Real Madrid appearance.

The Spain international moved to Bolton in 2010 and then to Chelsea, where he has won every trophy. He is now a Barcelona player

2. Fabinho

Fabinho started his career at Real Madrid as a very average right back before evolving into a top-tier defensive midfielder.

At the age of 19, he signed on with Rio Ave. After 30 appearances for Castilla, Brazillian made his debut for the Brazilian national team in May 2013.

Against Malaga, he came on for Fabio Coentrao. The game-winning goal, scored by Angel Di Maria, was assisted by him. Since then, he hasn't suited up for Los Blancos.

He was recruited permanently on loan by AS Monaco. He spent five years playing in Ligue 1 before signing with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

3. Tomas Raul

At age 10, Raul De Tomas joined Real Madrid's youth program; by 19, he had made Castilla. In 2014, the striker visited the United States for preseason training.

However, he did not make his debut for the team until October. When "Raul De Thomas stepped in for Karim Benzema against UE Cornella, it was for a brief cameo of only 14 minutes.

That was his only game for Real Madrid. The Spain international was eventually signed by Benfica in 2019 after spending time on loan at many other clubs.

4. Pablo Sarabia

Another Madrid-born talent, 12-year-old Pablo Sarabia, was discovered by Real Madrid.

He made his Castilla debut in 2010 at the tender age of seventeen. The introduction of the forward occurred in December as well. He entered the game for the final 18 minutes of the 4-0 Champions League victory over Auxerre, replacing Cristiano Ronaldo.

It turned out to be his lone and final senior season game for Madrid, despite widespread assumptions to the contrary. In 2011, he joined Getafe, and in 2016, he moved to Sevilla.

After three years with Andalusia, PSG signed him. As a result of PSG's all-star attack last year, he was loaned out to Sporting CP.

Sarabia went back to PSG as a bench warmer despite scoring 21 goals and helping on nine more for Lisbon.

5. Fernandez

Enzo Zidane joined Real Madrid at age 9 because of his surname. Zidane managed Castilla at the time. Zidane Jr. made his debut in November 2016 after being called up in October 2015.

His father gave him his Copa del Rey debut against Cultural Leonesa, replacing Isco. Enzo played 44 minutes and scored his debut in Real Madrid's 6-1 win. It was his only senior game.

Enzo Zidane was recruited by Deportivo Alaves in June 2017 despite having his father as team manager.
